iPod Cable Questions

I have a iPod Video 30GB, and have a cable question. There are a couple of things I would like to do with my iPod, but not sure if they will work with these cables or not. First thing is I would like to hook it up to Aux input on a stereo (red and white plug in holes) so I can here my iPod through my stereo. The next thing I would like to do is hook my iPod up to a tv, maybe in a Video 1,2, or 3 tv input ( red, white, and yellow holes) so I can watch my iPod movies on my tv. My question is , will I be able to do these things with these cables? Thanks for any replies!
