Default hold button is whacked..

so I got in a car accident and I forgot my iPod in the car..5 days later I picked it up and it won't get out of lock mode. I even did restore through iTunes. nothing. when I plug it into my wall charger or computer charger cord I see the iPod in action...the hold switch just isn't responding...help!!!

It actually happened to me on my iPod Nano and my friend's iPod Classic before. All I did was leave it until it opened until it ran out of battery, plugged it in the charger again, and then it worked just fine. It didn't just happen to me, but to a lot of my friends, that's how I knew how to fix it.

Try and come back to us with the conclusion.

if it's under a year old, apple may replace it for you.

Yup, after the battery died because we left it like that, we plugged it in the charger again, and it opened just fine.

What do you mean opened just fine? Do you mean it turned on just fine?...
