when was the ipod touch released on bestbuy.com?

A week and a half ago. I was going to get one then settled on a 160GB classic after hearing about all the problems with the touches.

went to bestbuy on monday, they didn't have the iPod touch
today, I went to a different bestbuy and a guy from geek squad told me that they sold the last one earlier today.

he also said, that they just got some 16GB models, they never got the 8GB model so far. I asked him if they had one on display, he answered until the official release by apple they won't do that.

I got one last night at my local bestbuy, it was the last one they had, a 16GB model. When I went to that store earlier in the week they had the card for both 8gb and 16gb but no display model was set out, but when I went last night to buy mines they had a display model out this time around.
