"One-size-fits-all headset jack (May have to buy an adapter for certain headphones)"

well of course im still going to buy an iphone im just talking out of my ass but im really really pissed off, i hate the headphones that come with ipods they are plastic and hurt ur ears of a while.![]()
Wow. This does really suck. I'm pretty disappointed in Apple. Definitely not a deal breaker, Apple could just about announce that it doesn't make calls at this point and I'd get it, but very disappointing nonetheless.
Someone please educate me...will my v-moda's fit???
I was thinking this is kind of a bummer too considering I just spend $500 on earbuds and headphones but I can just buy the adapter so it should be fine.
what the hell.... i wear hearing aids, i cant wear their earbuds, so theyre gonna say f you to me?
Enter the third party accessory support
Seriously, how much would the part be? Like 2 dollars?
Trust the Keyboard
I wonder if it's a 2.5 mm instead of 3.5mm?
I think the problem is that it is recessed. If you look at any of the third party adapters you can see the issue.
For instance, the bit between the metal and the gray plastic of this belkin adapter... all of that light colored bit is apparently recessed.
Here's another example in chrome...
BTW, the size of the jack is 3.5 mm. (images from ilounge reviews)
