From what I've understood, the iPhone comes with iPod-like earbuds, and in the iPods, any ol' earphones will do, so I believe any earphones will work.

What about the stereo bluetooth headsets? They should work for the phone but will they work when you are in ipod mode?

sorry, but on the list of things it doesn't have one of them is A2DP. that means no stereo bluetooth signal and no stereo bluetooth headset compatibility.
