Default Wifi connected to exchange no emails

When i am connected to my wifi at work on my 3GS I can not send or recieve emails on my phone. I know this is a server setting and not an iphone issue but I thought maybe someone here would know where to point me. Thanks in advance.

Weird! My CEO had the same issue yesterday. What I noticed on his was, while on 3G, he could get emails, etc, etc.

So, that told me that the wifi he was connected to was not set correctly for DNS. Thus nothing worked. I had to reset our wireless router...

But, in your case, do you have another wifi locally to the office (free) that you can connect to? If so, try it.

Also, why do you use wifi and not 3G?

By default I have the wifi set to on as I am usually in a buildings with wifi and find it to be a bit faster, not much though. App store only works with wifi as well as I tunes, and a few others. I just don't want to have to turn it on and off. I am in an office building but all other wifi connections have passwords so no i can't connect. When I am connected to any other wifi other than work my email works fine though. home wifi, starbucks, airports, etc. they all work fine. It is definatly my work wifi. I found this on another post but am afraid to mess with my server. I am the owner of a small company so no it guys.

Ask your IT department to create an A host record on the DNS server to have "mail.companyname.net" point to your exchange server internal IP. This will correctly route your exchange requests.
