I am actually after the 4 GB, that isn't that much storage, but I am a college student $500 is a lot to me.
I agree. It will be much more worth it in the long run to have the 8GB, and I will wait for more to be available if I can't get an 8GB iPhone. But hopefully that won't happen.

It would be hard not to buy a 4 gigger if the 8s were all gone. Who knows when they'll get restocked?
And to be honest, chances are the lower level 4 GB will be the most popular in the beginning. People will still be a little unsure of this much of an investment for an untested device.
