Default White Dots = Replacement?????

Well, I just had my iPhone replaced due to a faulty black piece. My new iPhone has a grid of tiny white dots all over the screen (mostly visible in low light/black background). From what I understand many people have had this issue and it seems to be limited to the 7-series lcd screen. So my question is this...Will Apple replace my iPhone?? And if they do, will they merely send me another phone which could also have a defective screen, or will they make sure they send me a 5-series, or at least a 7-series with a flawless lcd?? Thank you for your help!

Since the 5 series was a first production run, I doubt you'll get a new one as a replacement. If you ask for an exchange, you'll get another 7 series with the same issue most likely.

!st production? ...I don't know. You are proberly right, however, I returned a 7screen I got late on iWeek and received a 5 screen 14 days later. I know they had to have a couple of shipments show up since iDay. I am in Savannah, too. Not many cats around here getting iPhones...

I think 7 screens were the first run. All the new phones I have seen have had 5 series screen, including mine.

I am on my 5th iPhone. The one I have now is a 5 series. It is just the luck of the draw. On the back of the box where the serial number is, the guy at the mac store told me that in that number is the week that iPhone was created. This will not help finding a 5 series screen or a 7 series screen. But I know for a fact when I went and returned my last one, this one I got was manufactured at least 2 weeks after. From my understanding there are two companies that make the screens for the phone. Samsung and LG. That is why there small differences between the two.
