What made you decide to get an iPhone?

I have been a Mac user since 2000 and when the original iPhone came out, I figured I would wait until the next generation came out until I jumped ship. Here I am.

what made me get one was the fact that I was using a windows mobile phone and all the program descriptions would say "just like iPhone interface". So I thought to myself if every other os wants to be like the iPhones why not try the real thing. I am hooked!

The elegant user interface, applications, iPod/iTunes integration, awesome mobile browsing capability...and did i say applications?

When they lowered the price. Once it came down to £169.99 I thought it was time to give it a go. Up until that point, I hadnt really given it that much thought. I had a LG Viewty and was more than happy with it.
Viewty has long gone, V1 has been replaced with 3G ,and I can't see me jumping ship for a very long time. It would take something very special.
Love the UI . Web browsing is a pleasure(as far as browsing on a mobile goes).It has its weaknesses ,such as MMS (only ever sent one,but received a few), lack of bluetooth transfer(Nice to be able to swap ringtones/pics/por...educational movie clips ) ,the ability to forward txts.

All the above might make me moan about the iPhone once every few months,but wouldnt swap it for anything else out there at the moment.

I went to the Apple Store at the pier in Atlantic City today... had to pick up some new crystal shields. And I had to go check out the new iPod touches. Holy hell these things are thin and SEXY! Made me remember holding an iPhone for the first time. Imagine when the phones will be this thin!

Question... who would stick public earbuds in their ears? Not me!
