First iPhone Review from Walt Mossberg

    Some highlights:

    - largest, highest resolution screen of any smart phone they've seen, most internal memory
    - Impressive battery life and thin
    - Feels solid
    - Regarding the touch keyboard: "After five days of use, Walt -- who did most of the testing for this review -- was able to type on it as quickly and accurately as he could on the Palm Treo he has used for years."
    - Can't use T-Mobile SIM cards
    - Wi-Fi capability doesn't fully make up for the lack of a fast cellular data capability
    - Multitouch: "effective, practical and fun"
    - No way to copy/paste text
    - Microsoft's Exchange system support
    - Voice call quality was good, but not great
    - Can't record video
    - No Adobe Flash support
    - Songs can't be set as ringtones

    What no video ?

I love how they always compare the subsidized price of other smartphones to the un-subsidized price of the iPhone. I have paid full price to upgrade on numerous occasions and the prices are just about the same or higher than the iPhone.

Overall great review though. At least this guy used it unlike the last NY Times hack!

It was a very positive review. The only drawback he says is that it is on AT&T, which if you're on AT&T isn't a real drawback...and of course EDGE.

    iiiiii caaaan't wait!!

I am shocked by the no video feature? I was so confident this would be there since Apple has perfected the iSight in all of their laptops for so long. Oh well I guess.

Having to switch to a different view just to make a period or comma when texting was interesting. Not worried.
Ooo ok just to add. I see what Mossberg means by having to switch to use Period. Comma. etc... Doesnt look like too much of a pill to take.
Take a look only if you want. That feature is on the lower left of the keypad. sorry if noone likes flickr. I have nothing to do with them. its just where the pic is. If you do not like flickr just load any pic of iPhone keypad and on the lower left you will see what I mean.
