    Default Using an iPhone overseas?

Is it possible (with an unlocked iPhone) to take out my USA sim card when I land in Moscow, and install my Russian Sim card and be good to go? I know that some quad freq. phones are supposed to do this, but I don't know if the iPhone would do it or not.

    Thanks!

i used mine in romania last month with a romanian sim
so chances are you will be able to use it as well if your phone is truly unlocked

    good luck

    one question,
with an unlocked iPhone (either iphonesimfree or anysim), do I need to bring my laptop for anything? when I switch SIM cards, do I need to use iTunes to "re-activate" the iPhone with the new SIM card? or, can I just pop in the new SIM card (configure the GPRS settings) and go? I would prefer to leave the laptop at home.

if it's unlocked, you dont need to re-activate it

the phone should be activated and unlocked for all networks

yea if its unlocked you can use with any gsm provider. And no you wont need to activate it if you have it already unlocked because its been activated already or jailbroken
