Default Unlocking

Unlocking means that the phone can work on any other GSM network eg. Sprint, T-Mobile etc.

Isn't it illegal to unlock your iPhone?

Hi Reds, I picked one up in Florida today to take home with me to the Uk tonight. My sim does not allow any functionality with the phone at all so I too have to wait for the unlocking games to begin!

Had to have one though, I do own a forum for gadgets afterall!

<even ones I cant use just yet LOL>

Theoretically you could use it here in the UK if it were to be unlocked as it has the GSM capibility to work here. I don't think it will have vidual voicemail and maybe some other functions as these requite AT&T.

Unlocking any phone has been legal for a few years now. I think it should be illegal to sell a locked phone!! That's only because I want an iPhone nowwww!! Let's wish the unlockers all the best!!

This website has SCAM written all over it.

Supplying your credit card, IMEI number etc.

When someone genuinely gets this done please let the community know before you get your card scammed by some thief in a foreign country!

Oh and when I picked mine up, a guy on the genuis bar smiled and winked as if to say 'YOU KNOW IT!' when I said soon enough I will be able to unlock it when I was explaining to the girl selling me the phone on the desk it was on route back home to the uk with me. I'd reckon it is probably one of the first into the uk as it happens
