Default Sync Apps

...i went into apps tab and selected the "Selected applications"..chkd only the apps i wanted to sync and hit "Apply" and a pop box stating "Are you sure you want to remove..." woe-woe...remove?...i thought that it would sync only the apps i select such as what i do music/videos-etc...

...so i checkd only one of the apps and left the others unchkd...do you know that it was on its way to remove ALL unchkd apps? so i canceled sync...and then i unchkd the one and selected All applications...and it reinstalled the apps that it removed...interesting...any suggest-

Say that you have Shazam, Loopt and AOL Radio on your phone. Then you decided that you want to only sync the Apps that you have checked. You check Shazam and Loopt and a new App that you downloaded AIM. The iTunes software thinks that you only want Shazam, Loopt and AIM on your phone and thus will remove AOL Radio because it is not checked and iTunes believes you do not want that App on your phone.

It's just one of those things that iTunes does.

yeah i see...iTunes presents it as that it will remove the apps checked...it just seems backwards..as supposed to music/videos-etc

iTunes is also brain damaged in that if you have "checked apps only" selected and download an app directly to the phone, then sync, it will remove it if you aren't careful.

Yeah.. And it gets more complicated in that if you delete an app in iTunes, you get the same message (There's an app on your phone that's not in your library, keep it or trash it). So you always have to remember if you deleted an app in iTunes or downloaded one directly to the iPhone so that you can answer the question properly.
