Default Speaker Problems?

I just got my iphone like 2 days ago and I cant barley hear people on the line when I am making calls. When I have the headphones in I can hear them great. If I dont have my headphones I have to put the phone on speakerphone. How do i solve this problem?

You get a Blackberry or a Treo. The speaker on the iPhone is garbage, it's one of the caveats. Though, it may heighten your hearing to super human levels.

Plus?

I think so.

Is the film covering the little oval cutout near the top?

I had to take my iPhone back for a number of problems and the volume level was one of them. It was barely audible when turned all the way up. Not sure why. Could have a bad phone.

LOL! I think I read something about people forgetting to take the plastic cover off and thinking the phone was defective. Hopefully that's all it was.

LOL i had my laugh for today...

but when i first got my phone, i had wanted to leave the plastic on there to protect the screen (even though knowing it wouldnt last long), but i had poked little holes on the part covering the speaker. it worked fine, so if you really dont want to take it off, you should do that.
