why do nanos have this feature and not iPhones?

Because after all that shaking, you would have no bars of service and could never write a txt.(talk about lag).

On a jailbreak, the "PocketTouch" interface for the iPod will allow this functionality. Check it out.

Personally, I disable this feature because I never listen to the iPod sitting perfectly still. It's too easy to shift out of a cool groove once you start dancing.

funny you say this. When I saw the demo if that with the nano, I started to shake my phone in hopes that it would work. Not only did it fail, it looked dumb too.

For the last month or so, I had been having a problem with my songs randomly stopping with an audible tone and the next song would play. I just realized today that it was happening whenever I would shake or jar my phone. The whole time I thought I had some bug!
