Default Safari - Is there a way to prevent it going to the mobile version of a site?

I am getting annoyed that more often than not, it seems to go to the mobile version of a website than the "real" website. Like this morning, I wanted to see something on nbc.com. It went to the mobile version.

Is there a way to make it go to the real website?

Most website's that support mobile's identity the iphone from the user agent of Safari.

I don't better know that you can't do anything about it, but im currently making a installer.app application that enables you to change some Safari settings. Like the user agent.

I'm sure apple would have an option in a future update in its settings

Some mobile sites have an option to switch to the full website.

That's true. But some don't and that is very annoying.
