Default Restoring question?

I am deciding whether to jailbreak, but does anyone know if i restore my iphone does that mean i have to sign a new two year contract and reactivate my phone

No, that is not required for a restore.

no no no. restoring simply means that all factory settings will be reset and then all your music and stuff will be reSynced back to your phone. Its harmless. You may have to reset your alarms though. But that is not a big deal.

I've restored numerous times and if it meant signing a new contract each time, I'd be with AT&T for the next 200 years or so.

I have the same problem. it says that if i restore it i will loose all my info and the latest iphone software will be installed. I have an unlocked iphone because it is not available here in PR. should i restore it anyway?
