Replacing Screen

Drove an hour to the Apple store only to be shot down and told to wait 3 hours until the Genius Bar opens up. GG



There's no way I'm going to pay $250 to have them replace my screen when I can do it for cheaper.

Now my question is...

I've seen just the screen for sale and the screen with a digitizer.
The touch part works just fine in the area that has a small crack going across the corner. So will I just need to get a screen?

Be sure you really know what you're doing before you try it. I've hears way too many stories about people scewing their phone by doing this. Keep us posted.

The crack isn't too bad.

I guess I just need the screen. No one really answered my question lol.
I wasn't sure if I needed the digitizer or not.

I may just wait until the new iPhone comes out since this crack is very minor.

On that site do they sell the glass also? I didn't see the glass there.

They sell the LCD screen with and without the digitizer.

FYI. Once you open the case you lose the option of having it replaced by Apple for $250. You will have to pay the full $399 retail.

I've opened one before and you really don't want to try it. Bite the bullet and either wait for the new phone to come out or have Apple replace the one you have for $250.
