Receiver died during call. Help!

My receiver died during a phone call. I can't hear the other person if I put the phone to my ear. I can now only hear the person talking if I put it on speaker or if I plug in my headphones.

I did a reset by pushing the top button and the home button until the apple logo appears but that didn't work.

I tried the headphone trick by unplugging and plugging my headphones while a song on ipod was playing but that didn't work.

I unplugged the headphones slowly but that didn't work.

Somebody please help!

try the switch on the left side of iphone.. but i know that is not gonna work.. sounds like you need a visit to the apple store.. are you on a jailbreak? If so restore if possible

I tried the silent switch on the left but nothing happened. I heard restores don't work so I don't wanna try that.

It sounds like the sensor is turned off somehow. Send it to Apple.

Do a restore. This should be your response if a reset doesn't work.
