Default Rate Plans Revealed?

http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2007/0...fter-contract/

It appears the iPhone rate plans from Cingular may be the same as Cingular’s current plan options: $39.99 a month for 450 minutes, unlimited mobile to mobile calling, and 5,000 night and weekend minutes. The data plans will start at $4.99 a month for 200 messages OR a $19.99 a month data plan for 200 messages plus unlimited Internet and Visual Voicemail.

In addition, the Cingular iPhone ad lists iPhone prices as $299 for the 4GB model and $399 for the 8GB model.

So, if you are to purchase the iphone and you are not eligible for a new contract with Cingular what could I expect to pay?

$499 for 4GB, $599 for 8GB. This information is readily available in these forums and on Apple's web site.

40 bucks a month... that's not too bad

If you need to surf the internet you can always find a wifi hot spot and use the built in wifi.

Does anyone know if you will be able to hook on to your home wireless network for internet access? Being that it has 802.11b/g in it.
