"...as you can see with poor lighting it seems to have a hard time focusing."
Hi all -
This is my first time posting to everythingiPhone.
The problem with this photo isn't actually a focus problem (though that is often how people describe it.) It's fuzzy because the shutter stays open so long (due to low light) and your hand (or the subject) is moving...so it gets blurry.
The way to take a sharp photo in lower light with any non-flash camera, is to stabilize your elbow or hand or the iPhone itself on a solid surface (vertacle or horizontal), hold your breath and hold still while gently taking the picture. If your subject is still, and you are still, your photo will be sharp(er).
You can use this technique with any camera. Photos look more natural without flash, so photographers often do this to avoid using a flash. (or use a tripod!).
i presume that you uploaded this pic via photobucket...the pic I took with my iPhone is a jpg dimen are 1200 x 1600 and its too lrg to upload any way I can resize
i know this is my avatar but i thought i'd post anyway...a lil' fuzzy because of the lighting situation...but you get the picture...get it..'get the picture'..uh yeah anyway...lol
