Over Heating Problem - iPhone 3G

I just did a restore thru itunes and then used ziphone and installed a few apps and I can't beleive how hot the back of my phone got!!!? This was not a problem before I did a restore and I am running 1.1.4 as I was before??? Any ideas?

Mine does that sometimes, very intermittent. I'd just keep an eye on it.

When I leave iPhone in camera mode, which is often, it doesn't turn off spontaneously, and boy, does it get HOT. Doesn't seem to hurt it in any way, but it drains the battery incredibly fast.

same here.... i let the back of my phone face up when i charge it... i do that because i am using the contour showcase so it really wont hurt the screen

Reboot the phone to kill any processes that mght be running in the background. Also make sure SSH is turned off, if you have it installed. ( You can switch it off in BossPrefs. )
