Default Not a world phone?

There are reports the FCC approval indicates the iphone will not be capable of functioning at 1800 (the European standard) Does anyone know if this is correct?

I think if you look closely you will find that the FCC only evaluated the 2 bands that are used in the US. The iPhone is a quad band phone though.

Thanks. I did see the specs before and I guess it makes sense the FCC doesn't care about funtions it cannot regulate.
