Software Development Kit. It is for software developers to build programs for the iPhone. The average iPhone consumer will never use the SDK, but will benefit from its release through the use of new software programs. We won't see any of these new programs until late June/early July.

not unless your planing on writing some software for the phone. Basically the general consummer just gets to sit back and enjoy the benefits of all the apps that are being devolped. Minus the small fee they will be charging on the apps store.
