no service

my iphone is activated but i cant get any service to show up.. im in the middle of a city i know cingular works here, whats going on?

i restarted the phone and it says waiting for AT&T activation

i thoguht the damn thing was already activated

I had this issue on my first two iphones and sometimes on my third. I called ATT and everything is fine with them. Sometimes I have 5 bars and sometimes no service, driving me crazy.

apparantly some major error went down on att's end causiung my service not to activate.. although the phone itself activated.. im still on the phone with an ATT rep after having gone down to the actual store.

its been about 4 hrs spent trying to fix this, im so f'n furious, but it finally looks close to fixing.

the annoying part is they had to totally restart my activation process and even give me a new # after ig ave up my first new number to everyone and now they gotta replace the number again

I still think they should activate them in the stores. For $600, they should be making and receiving calls before you walk out with it.
