New Member - iPhone 3G

Just want to say hello, as I'm a new member of this forum. Some background on me... chged to ATT at the end of March, for the express purpose of getting an iPhone. However, based on reading the latest rumors on this site and others, decided not to get the iPhone immediately, instead am waiting for the new 3G version. Been a long-time Apple fan, currently using Mac at home. If you were in my position, would u get the current Edge version immediately, or wait unitl June (or thereabouts)? Thx.

Welcome to the forum, it's the best on the Web. I'm the type, that once I make up my mind, I cannot wait. I would go ahead and get it now. You don't know what's around the corner. That's what I think.

Welcome to EIC. Lots of cool people here with tons of knowledge.
This is a question that will get a hundred different answers. With all the current rumors that the new phone will be here in June, I would wait if it were me. If for some reason the rumors were just that and June comes and goes without a phone release then I would go ahead and get the current phone.

Welcome aboard! You've found the most friendliest (and not to mention one of the most useful) forums out there.

If I were you, I would wait. Buying the current version only to see a sexier, faster, more productive iPhone come out in three weeks wouldn't go over so well with me. Just my $0.02.

If I were in your position, I would wait until June to get the 3G version. Chances are you'll only have to wait another 5-6 weeks for your new phone.

Ya if i were you i would definately wait for the second one. dont get me wwrong the first one is amazing but the second one can only get better.
