Default New email notification but no new email in inbox

Hello,

I upgraded to 1.1.3 yesterday and I seem to have trouble with outgoing mail and notifications. First, when I receive an email the number "1" appears to the top left of mail. I go into mail and read my email, but upon returning to the home screen, the "1" is still top left of mail. I re-entered but I don't have any new mail.

Then, when trying to send email from gmail, it tell me to check my outgoing server which is correct.

If anyone can shed some light on this that would be great,

Thanks.

you need to configure your gmail settings for IMAP instead of POP3. 1.1.3 has IMAP configured by default.

I'm not talking about your phones settings; I'm talking about your gmail settings.

On your computer:

google>gmail>settings>Forwarding and POP/IMAP>IMAP Access>Enable IMAP
