If my husband bought a $600 toy with a 2 year committment of at least $80 you can bet I would kill him too.
Thankfully he only likes to buy things for his precious digital SLR and his car, and I can live with that. But I pay the cell phone bills and no way, no how would i be pleased if he walked in and announced he spent our money like that. Especially when I say "our" I mean "my" because I make far more than he does, as we're both still in school but I work full time. He would have to buy me something REALLY nice to make me happy again. |

I was actually surprised when my wife was the one who said "wow the Iphone looks cool!"
I'm the gadget, tech-savvy guy in the house, and I knew about the Iphone, but I wasn't too interested in purchasing one at first. Then my wife saw the commercial and went ballistic over it. She actually influenced me to get one on the 29th. I suppose I'm not complaining... But yes, if I were to come home with a $600 smart phone without telling her I'm almost positive I would be in the dog house. Guys, from experience, tell your wives that you're going to spend mucho dinero before you do it. At least if anything you have the "I told you that I would" defense! And maybe come home with something nice and expensive for her too. It'll help her cope

Agreed. Definitely shre with your spouse/livein that you are making such a big $$ purchase...unless of course you are the breadwinner of the house. Then you can buy whatever you feel like..whenever you feel like.
