ok, I think my iPhone can read my mind! I know I know, that sounds stupid but let me explain you.
I always play my songs shuffle mode. I have about 1000 songs on there. Sundays are the days I listen to a lot of reggae, for some reasons, I like it on Sundays. Last Sunday, I plug my iPhone, press shuffle songs and oh surprise, Bob Marley Acoustic Medley (probably my favorite Bob's performance) starts playing. I thought to myself: "nice one, iPhone". Then I think, "huh, that's be rad if it played the live version of "talking blues" after that. Surprise, the next songs iPhone plays is Talking Blues (not the live version though). Pretty impresses, I started thinking I had some type of power (really!). So I thought, I want to listen to Rat Race after this song. The motherf***er, played this song. Honestly I thought it was some type of joke or something. Then I thought I wanted to listen to Max Romeo (War Ina Babylon). Next song played was War Ina Babylon by max Romeo. That was the 3rd song in a row I was thinking about that the iPhone happened to play. SO strange. After that, I tried 2 more times without success.
This morning, I get to work, plug the iPhone and think to myself, "wouldn't it be nice to start the day with "horrorpops - Miss Take". BANG! The iPhone played this song!!! I tried to mentally command the phone to play the next song of my choice but it didn't.
That is SO FREAKING STRANGE.
I also noted the iPhone was always playing music that matches my mood or location (such as playing electro music on a saturday night, rock on a monday, etc..).
Have you guys experienced that at all or am I just smoking way too much???

I'm just wondering, but there are too many coincidences so I try to give an explanation
MAYBE, the iPod of the phone "judges" more suitable a genre than another by looking at the day/hour, for example, on Sunday he think Reggae is more appropriate
I would try this during "particular" hours and days, such as Saturday night or, again, Sundays

LOL. i have a similar story to add as well.
on my contact list whereever i have for example two people with the same phone number for example their house phone call me. it always shows the picture of the contact that i talked to. tested it out a couple time and it always got it right. kind of cool i thought, thinking my iphone is really a smartphone that recognizes the peoples voices and knows which contact i talked to.. haha..
