Default My iphone is heating up..

my iphone has been getting extremely hot on the upper level of both sides.
Its been getting hot when i use the internet, maps, media, etc.
Does anyone else have this happening? if yes, is it normal?
if no, what is the best thing i can do to get this resolved?

I really hope that I dont have to send it back for repairs.

If I do im going to demand a new iphone.. for $600, I want a brand
new functioning device, not a refurbished one.

Theres a web site that shows an iphone taken apart. My phone has been getting hot too after use. Its charging now and its nice and cool. Was out today I had iphone in my pocket in its iphone cover for like 3 or 4 miles...when i took it out it felt hot. Naturally if you have your iphone in its cover it will heat up. Its a computer device that needs to breathe.
iPhone Operating temperature: 32° to 95° F (0° to 35° C) Nonoperating temperature: -4° to 113° F
