Music Won't Sync - iPhone 3G

Just activated my iPhone yesterday. Everything was fine, synced a few playlists since not all of my music will fit on it.

Today the phone cleared my music off and won't sync the music. It will sync contacts and book marks and stop.

Any ideas?

Tell us more about your phone. What firmware you have, jailbroken, unlock, itunes number.....

Just added 1.1.2 today. It's totally original, no jailbreak or unlock.

Well there are several things to try.
Unplug the iPhone cable.
Turn off and reboot your computer.
Put your cable in another USB 2.0 port (not a hub)
Put the phone in the dock. Look at the summary in iTunes, most people have checked "sync only checked songs and video"
Under music, look to see if you have the sync checkmarked there to either all songs or selected.

Still no music.

I even re-installed itunes and restored the phone and nothing has worked

Might be something wrong with the cable.

Can you see your phone connected in iTunes?

You might not have your iTunes set to sync your music correctly. I would check your options under the Music tab of iTunes while you have your iPhone connected and iTunes open on your computer.

Sounds to me like you have it set to sync with a playlist that is empty.
