Default Movies on iphone

hiya guys.
I have an unlocked iphone with 1.1.1 firmware.
I want to know how i can get movies either from DVD or PC onto my phone.
I downloaded a film this week but i can't seem to get it onto the Movies section in Itunes. It's just stored in the download folder on my PC. I don't have the movies folder from Windows (i deleted it as i didn't forsee needing it).

First, get a program called handbrake. That will convert them to iPhone/iPod format.
Second, I recommend using something like DVD Shrink to "rip" the DVD to your PC. This allows you to grab just the movie without the menus and previews. It allows for a smaller file, and then handbrake will compress it further, keeping great quality, but small size

If you are asking how to convert the movies to work on the phone then the response above mine is correct. If you mean that in iTunes you no longer have a group for Movies so any movies you put into iTunes cannot be displayed to sync to your phone...
In iTunes, click Edit, Preferences, then put a check mark in the Movies checkbox under Show. That will put the category heading "Movies" back into iTunes and you can then get to your movies.

I know handbrake gets the job done but I personally use Amerisoft iPhone video converter suite. I paid for it but it was well worth the money. This can do DVDs or videos to iPhone H.264 which looks a little better IMO then Mpeg4.

There is a whole forum dedicated to this exact question. I'd suggest surfing over to it and checking out the posts there. There are a ton of posts for different programs along with lots of reviews. It will let you select the one that is best for you.

If you all look at what he said in his original post, he downloads a movie from within iTunes. It doesn't appear to be a problem with converting the movies into a format that works on the phone. He 'removed' the Movies category within iTunes so the only place he can see the movie he bought out of iTunes is in the downloads category in iTunes. My posting showed him how to put the Movies group back so he can see them in there within iTunes.

Movies downloaded through iTunes don't go into "My Videos". They go into C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music\Movies.

Once you have the video file on your computer make sure that it shows in iTunes then when you connect your phone go into the iPhone settings and on the Video tab make sure that you have a check mark in the name of the movie. As long as iTunes sees the movie and it shows in the list on the Video tab, putting that checkmark will tell iTunes to copy it onto the phone.
