Long Lines? What to Expect on Release Day??

I think Apple won't even say when the iPhone is comming out. Like most other products they will just suddenly have it available.

This happened to me, when I went to get a new black 8Gb iPod nano for $380, I saw the 30Gb iPod for $380 on sale! I got it sraight away and only when I got home and looked on the net I saw that there were now 5.5 iPods for $380 and I only had a 5g.

Where do you live? The 8GB nano and the 30GB Video iPod have always been the same price here and no where near $380. I have never seen them for sale for more than list price which is $250.

Lol, I wouldn't be so set on the 29th, it is just a rumor going around. Hopefully it will either be that or earlier, not later, though.

I plan on being in line too. Whether it's the 11th, 15th, or 29th, I'll be in line at one of the Cingular stores when the doors open on release day.

I'm a teacher, so missing work is not a problem during this time of the year. Actually on the 29th, I should be getting my perfect attendance bonus which just happens to be $600.

I don't think the iPhone will sell out on it's first day of release. I plan on going to the mall about 45 minutes before it opens to get the phone from the Apple store.

I think that its for sure going to sell out. The local and national media is gonna start the hype machine the day before it comes out. Look at how much attendtion it got on the news the day of MacWorld. Everybody that didnt know its coming out will.



Ill be scoping out the Mall of America around 7-9pm the night before. My friend will be looking at the local Cingular stores to see what the lines will be like. Will pick which ever line is the shortest.
