Oh I see, yes in retrospect I agree with you, and see how it could have been interpreted.
That's one of the disadvantages of this kind of communication. Actually I was making a joke, and I guess it did not come across that way.
What I really meant was that I have quite a "collection" of Apple laptops, iPods, etc. from the past, that are now obsolete. (just like any other tech product) Then as a joke I chose the word "Artifact" like an old treasure in a museum.
Because I love Apple products so much, and they are so well made that they stay looking like new, I simply keep them rather than sell them. Like a museum of Apple history. So it was not meant to be critical or negative.
I have been a huge Apple advocate and loyal customer for a long time. In fact, just two weeks ago I bought my second new MacBook Pro and it's just terrific. The improvements over first MacBook Pro (that I bought the day they were released) are very noticeable. It runs so much cooler, and more quiet than the first one. I also like the additional speed from the upgraded processor, and the additional ram I added.
You brought up "trends" which reminds me of how well Apple has been doing recently, I just read an article stating that sales of Apple notebook computers was up 94% in April. That's a fantastic result, proving there are many loyal customers out there like myself that buy a lot of Apple products.
Here is the link to that article:
