You must be very lucky. I just got back from the apple store and they gave me a new one, same exact problem. Also they tried it with some other iPhones, they all do this.
Go test again, try to call your iPhone while internet is active(page loading etc.) your call will not come through.

Incorrect. Other edge phones will pause the browser and allow the incoming call to ring through, when the call is finished you can resume browsing. I cannot beleive they left this out on the iPhone?

Altough not as bad as that. If you are in the SMS part of the phone and are listening to muisc. The phone willnot play the noise texts making even if the phone locks itself . This is more anoying compared to how dumb apple was for not allowing calls to stop browsing

Sorry about misstypes I'm on my phone right now

Interesting, I did more testing and SOMETIMES IT works sometimes it doesn't! I saw this video where it worked and I decided to spend more time on it. so far out of ten tries 4 times it has worked, 6 times it didnt.

Video here and please mind the annoying interference we know how cingular fones are:

I guess its completely random, kinda annoying though. Oh well, Too many things I love about this phone to let this get in my way.

Even if EDGE and voice cannot coexist, it seems the data should stop when the call comes in, not be ignored. Seems this should be fixable.

Page 21 of the iPhone User Guide specifically states:

"While iPhone is actively transferring data over EDGE -- downloading a webpage, for example -- you may not be able to receive calls. Incoming calls may go to voicemail."

I sure hope that changes. Quite an inconvenience to miss a call while transmitting data for EDGE. I don't care if the data stops; I just can't miss the call.
