Default Jailbroken iPhone 3G Camera Problem

Hiya all

I recently jailbroke my iPhone 3G 2.2 and have been using it for over a week and a half now.

Well now every time I take a picture with ma camera it never saves to the camera roll, and the only thing that pops up is a white square. Even with applications from cydia thats all that appears.

I was wondering if anyone could help me resolve this issue ?

Its sad having a good camera and not being able to use it haha

Unhappy Picture not storing

All you have to do is set the permission to 777 on the folders;
/private/var/mobile/Media/DCIM/100APPLE
and
/private/var/mobile/Media/DCIM

you can use WinSCP if you have a pc or cyberduck if you have a mac....email me if you got any more questions.

You should not have to change any folder permissions to fix a camera problem after jailbreaking!

I would recommend you restore to stock. Then jailbreak as a fresh device. Then sync all your things. DONT DOWNLOAD ANYTHING FROM CYDIA.

Make sure your camera role is working - then if it is, start downloading from Cydia. I would check the camera after every step, so you can narrow it down to whats causing the problem.

If your camera doesnt work whilst it is a stock 2.x.x then take it back to a genius for a replacement!
