Smile Iphone Push Email

Will Yahoo mail (push email) send emails directly to your Iphone without updating mailbox every 15 minutes?

Will Bellsouth.net email work the same or not?

Please Help!!

Only Yahoo has this feature. Your other POP or IMAP email will work as with other devices.

Has this been confirmed? It will not work as the blackberry does where any e-mail account that is IMAP will be pushed? I thought we were still waiting for an answer on this one.

Nope. Yahoo Push was announced at the keynote.

That would be news to me. I thought push email was unique to Yahoo.

I think the Yahoo Push will be the only one that will send it immediately. The other accounts will have to be configured to check for mail every so often just like they do on any other computer.

So my basic Yahoo email would be my best bet for live email to my Iphone correct?

With the blackberry it is not ISP dependent. For instance when I set up my e-mail account I can use my work, .Mac, etc. and it will always push the e-mail to the device. Yahoo mail doesn't actually do anything different as far as I know. On blackberry it is the device that does the setup and it works for all IMAP e-mail addresses. I don't see why Yahoo would get special attention. If the device supports Push e-mail of any kind then it should work for any IMAP e-mail address. Just my $0.02.

I meant Yahoo is exclusive for Push email. Didn't mean anything else, sorry if that came out weird.
