Iphone problem syncing

Something is wrong after 2.0... My phone crashes regularly, but my main concern is syncing the phone. I have quite a few apps, however, my phone takes 3+ hours to backup and sync, and photos will not appear on my phone!
I found out last night when i tried to restore, and 4 hours later it was finally done. I had to sync again today when the phone automatically went to the activation screen.

Do i have a junk phone? Or is it all software, and is there a remedy? 4 hours!? Im not sure i want to wait that long at all!

you are not alone!!! I Have the same issue myself. I also have issues downloading apps directly form the app store to my phone. Any app I download takes upwards of 20 minutes to install completely on my phone. I have a 3G iPhone. But you are not alone.

I don't have an answer, but 3-4 hrs. is entirely too long. Now the 2.0 does back up EVERYTHING. Apps,txt msgs., email, everything. In your case though, there is something wrong but I am not sure what. Maybe someone can help.
As for the photos, do you have the appropriate box(s) check in itunes ?

yeah, i just found out that it doesnt sync all my apps... i just synced my girlfriends phone, and she had 3-4 different apps. I dont think it was any more total apps, just different ones,

I suppose it will always keep me guessing! Random app generator.

thanks for the response however, knowing im not alone makes me hope they release some new firmware soon.

My sync was taking that long last night so I stopped it. Then after changing the setting so it didn't sync the apps, it took only minutes to sync.

it used to back up text and call logs as well... the first time on 2.0, it only took about 10 minutes, just like my girlfriends phone.

now haha, a whole day, and still no photos... I posted a picture for you, maybe i am doing something wrong!?

ok, some more strange stuff... both phones are 1g/Edge only phones. I have different apps from my gf's phone, as ive said, but most of the apps are matching.

Her phone required 4 updates, my phone says all are up to date.. I just synced the phones on the same computer!?

This is getting frustratingly odd.


I just also thought about the bluetooth- i drive an 05 acura TL, with bluetooth built into the car. Before 2.0, it worked flawlessly, now, i can't connect the phone with the car...

It happened to me, too. Got some help from here, so this is what I did. Delete the backup saved in iTune, re-sync it again, problem solved. At least that's how I got my taken care of.
