Also, the OP said it took an hour. I don't think a hard reset takes an hour.
Really? I consider restoring...well, restoring

Same here. Not the same as a hard reset.

Well, I read it in another thread, don't remember which one, but they were saying that a soft reset is when you press and hold the home and sleep buttons, and hard reset was a restore.

I, personally, think the same as you both.

Default fix

I wonder if anyone found out a fix for this problem because I am experiencing the same thing. I just did a complete restore thinking that would help but I have not had luck yet.

i found out that after a week or two it finally stopped giving me that message, i assume something got the plug dirty or screwed up and after plugging it in numerous times it stopped giving me the error message. hope that works for you

Same thing on my V1, did a full restore and a hard restart and no improvement. I had an ipod touch that froze up once before and nothing seemed to work except draining the battery all the way down as far as it would go then restoring it. I think I will try this next. After that I am out of ideas.

Yes it did stop. I figured out what happened in my case. I got my contacts a little bit wet in a rain storm. (Don't talk on an iPhone in the rain) I put it in a warm room in my house and let sit and dry out and it stopped. I read about this problem on another site but I can't find it now to paste the link. I hope your problem is as simple.

So this problem was just a case of a wet phone, it’s a good idea to keep in mine
Electricity doesn’t go too well with water that goes also for iphone.
