iphone and charger

i was wondering if anyone knows if its safe to leave the iphone on the charger while plugged in when its fully charged, or if it will damage the battery/componets?

Most quality chargers these days, as part of their electronics, know when whatever they're charging is at a full charge, and thus stops charging the device.

Considering this is a $600 device, I'd feel safe assuming the charger that came with it is a quality one. Heck, the iPhone itself might even be able to recognize when it's full, and stop accepting more power.

yeah i would think so to but you never know. on a further note apple needs to make a car adapter for it.
