That was supposed to read "
bow down and pay tribute". I need a proof reader.

People were saying this 3 weeks ago. Apple has yet to release any information claiming such an update is even in the making.

Actually, Apple has mentioned that there
will be software updates for the iPhone. With a gaggle of developers I'd find it hard to think that some iPhone software is not "in the making". Release dates are another story of course.
I would also think whatever additional applications or features we'd see released first (whenever) were already being developed before the hardware release date. It wouldn't be an afterthought, this would have started before you got your iPhone. If just on a small scale with a minimum of developers.

Apple CFO Peter Oppenheimer said that Apple plans to roll out "new software features and entirely new applications" for the iPhone over time and will keep the early adopters of the iPhone happy, expecting that they will be the best way to spread the word about the new consumer device.
"We hope the result will be to surprise and delight our iPhone customers," Oppenheimer told analysts and journalists on the call. In typical Apple fashion, however, the CFO did not provide any details on possible features.

Google is a wonderful thing.
60-90 days is not a heck of a long time to wait for what probably will be great additions to the iPhone. You gotta have faith... however...
If they go much longer than that I will personally be pissed.
