I can't believe Verizon is doing this!

I just switched my number with my wifes as the primary number with Verizon. The CSR asked me why I was leaving... when I told him I was getting an iPhone. He told me, "I just want to advise you that I've heard the iPhone is very buggy". "We have a phone that does everything the iPhone does and more".

They can tell you they have a phone that will wipe your bottom if they think it will keep you around. You can't believe they're doing it? I can't believe you're surprised.

Neither Verizon, AT&T or Apple can be believed. You pay your money and take your chances. Fox news & CNBC both had iPhones to show their veiwers this morning. Neither of them could get connected with the Internet. Plus remember Apple has never built anything like this before. Don't believe anything. Just decide if you want to gamble $600 , plus a 2 year contract which costs 175 to get out of. Then remember your time is worth money.

So in the best case everything is ok. In the worst case and you do no like your iPhone, you just threw nearly $1,000 down the toilet.

They're a huge company and they know they're gonna take it on the chin a bit today... I'd have hoped for some dignity. There is a way of doing what needs to be done without sinking to that.
