So I was able to change the length on my 3GS, then I went to do it on my wifes 3G, and we have the same voice call frwd number. That shouldn't be should it?

I'd guess that the number of your phone is associated with your individual voice mailbox at a central location.

YMMV

As MrMike6by9 said, your voicemail may get forwarded to an individual "box" at a central location, so the fact that you and your wife have the same voice call forward number is not unusual. You'd probably see a difference if you compared your voice call forwarding number to someone in another state or time zone...

Okay, you do realize that macgirl has all of those instructions and more at the beginning of this thread, don't you?

Glad this thread got bumped! Just noticed it for the first time. I'm about to set this up for myself.

However, did anyone confirm the possibility that macgirl brought up about it possibly using minutes?

Does this mean any time I miss a call that uses a minute?

Are you that worried about a minute?

Not entirely, but believe it or not, my fiance and I used 700 minutes exactly last month. I had to do a double take. Our family plan is 700 minutes, and we're usually almost right on. It's not a huge deal, but I miss calls often enough, and just wanted to double check that I wouldn't be using a minute every time.
