when i follow the instructions ,it doesnt give me the VM activation number.

It does say all that other stuff, just no number...

Are you with AT&T? Can you show us/type out what see when you dial *#61# and press call?

The first group says just like yours minus the number I am looking for.

nevermind I am an IDIOT.

I am at work. While I am at work, i forward my phone to my desk b/c i am not allowed to have cell phones in the room.

Once I turned that off, i got the number.

oops!

What kind of job do you have where they prohibit cell phones in the office? Just curious...

Parts of my job require me to work on classified systems..

So the room I work in is classified. Major no no to have a cell phone in classified rooms.

Sorry for yet another revival of this thread, but I just used these instructions yet again to change the settings for my new iPhone 3GS. I was so used to the longer ring time on my 3G that I was beginning to think someone was wrong with my 3GS when it didn't ring for a long time before going to voicemail, until I remembered that I needed to do this to change it...
