how many hours of video/music will the iphone be able to hold? with 8gigs im think im starting to reconsider...

depends on the size of your videos etc... obviously

videos should range between 100-300 MB depending on quality and length.

a decently watchable tv show 30mins (roughly) is about 50 mbs

Me and IwantIphone were having this discussion in another thread. Movies off of itunes are just over a gig for 1.5 hour movie. If you convert your own movies you can of course adjust the resolution to adjust the size of the file.

^^I noticed the same thing. If you go straight from itunes the file sizes are often larger. Though I have been trying to convert some movies myself and they all seem to be right at 1GB.

when I saw the title of this thread I thought it was about How many hours until the iPhone is available?

Just in case you were wondering....it's just a little less than 451 hours.
