Exclamation HELP! 4.6 GB of "Other"?? unknown disk use!

i have the second generation iphone and it is jailbroken. I plugged in my iphone, which was working fine and had around 4gb of music, to sync and itunes tells me that there is not enough space on the iphone to sync the amount of music. I have not added any more music. In the section where it says capacity, it says that 4.60 gb is used as "Other". i tried removing all the unneccesary apps installed by cydia but still no luck! how do i find out what is using this space? somebody help meeee!

Happens to me at rare times and im stock, usually after i download an app the other will shoot up to the amount of space that the apps are, and the app indicator (green line) goes way down, but after one or two resyncs they switch back....glitch that apple probably will address at some point.
