It would have to be really close. Unlike CDMA, GSM only transmits about 7 miles. If you travel interstates, you should see the GSM towers about every 12 - 14 miles on the side of the road.

rogers is the worst company ever! here you can't even txt other cell phones it says its a landline i called twice and they just decided they can't fix it, they screw up the bills all the time. rogers is the worst company ever in ontario!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!! i had a phone with them, i paid the money to cancel it, it was not worth it.
