I'll never understand how people have trouble with the keyboard. I just got my iPhone a day and a half ago and I fly on the keyboard. It's much easier and much quicker. Oh well...

I don't want to jump in bewtween warring factions, but here is my input.

I am switching from a Nextel Blackberry. Things I don't miss from my Blackberry:

1) not being able to see the screen half the time if the light is not just right.

2) not having to push the light button all the time to enable me to see the screen.

3) the muted grey / blue hues of my "color" display.

4) my bent antenna.

5) not being able to visit actual websites.

6) not being able to see actual websites the way I see them on my PC.

7) did I mention the display?

I will miss my push to talk. I'll miss the awesome speaker phone on the Blackberry. That's about it. I already prefer the iPhone calendar, Notes, Email, not to mention all the things the Blackberry could not dream of doing.

You're dumb dood. And if you can't get used to the keyboard you are a noob. Sorry you can't type english.
If you're going to criticize others' English, you should really shore up your own, dood.

Once again, I am a little embarrassed by the level of discourse on this forum. Not a good showing for Apple.

The problem occurs for those of us coming from a Treo or BB on which two-handed thumb-typing was so natural. This keyboard works well for one-finger typing, but two-handed thumb typing is just terrible.

I require alot of business-type use (good PIM, email, docs, etc) and am willing to hold out for an update, but I'm not going to say it's been easy, and I'm not going to STAY if things aren't resolved soon. There really is alot missing here.

For those of you who wish me a quick exit, hit-me--n-the ass, I say, grow up and stop being so defensive.

Keep patting yourselves on the backs. You guys are so smart.
Also, you shouldn't have separated the middle clause with commas, Grammar ****.

DOOD you are a moron. I didn't accidentally type that. I guess NOOB is part of the Olde English also?? You forgot to mention that I used the word noob, you noob.

Yea, Apple is really getting a bad rep cuz I used the word 'dood', noob. I was merely trying to point out that the OP's complaint that you can't type slang is false. You can train the farkin keyboard you |) |_| /\/\ |3 NOOB

Good luck with your blackberry. Unfortunately, the iPhone is not for everyone.

Well, Ben123, your last two responses cleared up whatever blemish there may have been on Apple's reputation. Thanks for raising the bar.

My thoughts exactly.

I couldn't be happier with my iPhone... and what kills me is that as time goes on and software updates are released many of the missing features could be added. I doubt things will stay static on the iPhone for long.

But anyway, see ya later. Enjoy your Blackberry (I've been there done that and don't miss it).
