FIRST REVIEW from NY POST

1) I hate NY Post Puns.
2) The review was short and off point. Why compare the iPhone to a laptop that is stupid.
3) He was way off on the pricing. Why would speculation on pricing be part of a "review"?

I agree with everyone here... "Don't buy it because it's smaller than a laptop? Oh, but it's bulky..." What kinda *&$% is that?! It's not a laptop!! You can't put laptops in your pocket!! And you can't call your mom from McDonald's with a laptop you happen to have on you at the moment. Oh, and how many phones have iPod capabilities and 480x320 screens? Too small a screen? Try a movie theater, you freakin' Pulitzer Nevergonnahappen!

Not that I'm an iPhone zealot... I want to read real reviews, too. But when someone spouts uneducated crap, all the while admitting he had a "brief" chance to use the phone, it just makes my blood boil. He didn't even have the news about the data plans, but felt the need to run off his mouth about how much it would likely cost, overstating it at that!!

As the wise Robhon stated it, this Hack needs to go back to writing about which nag showed in yesterday's lunchtime feature at the track.

Last week, there were stories about all the hype. This week, the same group of journalist are saying "wait before you buy" for (insert some reason). Until they use an iPhone, they simply cannot pass judgement. I do believe there is a level of frustration that comes out in these articles. Frustration that stems from a lack of information. Journalist are usually "in the know" and this isn't the case with the iPhone unless you are David Pogue or Walt Mossberg.

ok, that's it, after waiting 1 and a 1/2 years listing to rumors of an iphone and 7 months of hype after announcement of said iphone. I let him talk me out of it because the screen isn't the size of my macbook pro.

get a grip. beside for me it's more than the internet anyway. I have a smart phone now with a data plan and have never used the internet feature. I want it for the phone (a phone made by apple running os x), and the ipod feature as to no longer cary two gadgets in my pocket.

Ok.. this has nothing to do with obsession.. perhaps for many of you, that is what drives your purchase...

1. Lets not forget the iPod. There are other mp3 players that do "more" than say apple's ipod.... however, the ipod is Sexy, simple and a FASHION statement.. it's the way our generation(s) now listen to music....

2. This is the same for the iphone.. sure something will come out that can edit excel sheets, or... run your quickbook files or whatever dull task you SHOULD BE DOING ON A BORING PC.... But i will say this, that phone will be butt ugly...

So before you bash the iPhone, understand that the dull life you choose to live isn't for all of us...
