Existing Customer still on phone with customer service over 1 hour

    Long story short
    Bought 8 gb Iphone
    Went home upgraded Itunes
Then when Itunes went to run gave me an error saying "Error Iphone software is not installed, Please go to itunes utility uninstall and then reinstall Itunes." Ok after un-installing 7 times and re-installing, I decided to call Apple. I have been on the phone with them for almost 2 hours and they have made me uninstall and reinstall like 7 times, uninstall all my spyware programs go into msconfig and do a selective boot. Now im on hold waiting for a higher specialist. Anyone have ideas? I have been on hold for about 15min and on the phone with them for almost 2 hours. Needless to say i'm very frustrated...

Sounds like you might not have the latest iTunes release, 7.3?

I reckon they rushed this new iTunes out for the iPhone. I updated earlier and it's already crashed twice. I heard other people saying it's giving them trouble as well.

My comp is running windows XP64 Professional, I was able to activate my phone on my friends computer. I decided to give up and go to his house and drink and then I thought, "Let me try to set it up on his comp." It works fine now and the phone is wonderful so far. The only problem I have now is the Apple tech left my comp f'd. She made me create another user account on my computer, because she claimed, " We can fool the computer" So now i'm stuck in this blank account with none of my settings. I can only access my old settings in safe mode under administrator. Anyone know how to delete a user account if you only have one? It keeps telling me I need to create another account with administrator. Previously I had no accounts it would just log in normally. I just want to go back to the way it was before with my settings etc. Thanks in advance for any help you provide.
